I had a phone screen with HR for a great opportunity. I've realized that I'm not a great interviewer as I had thought and that's why I missed some great opportunities in the past.

I interviewed a month ago for a phone screen and was told that I'd hear back in a week or two. I didn't hear anything for two weeks so I sent her an email asking whether I'm still being considered. She replied Yes and she will get back to me once she speaks with the hiring manager. It has been two weeks since and haven't heard anything.

I think she responded to my email two weeks ago with a typical answer but didn't have the courage to reject me. Would you try keep following up or will they contact me if interested? Bummed that I didn't get this opportunity.

i wouldn't bother. it could be one of two things: 1. the company is slow and or overloaded and it's dragging out the process; or 2. they found others that had more experience than you

honestly from what i have seen with companies that are like #1 above, you don't want to work for a place like that.

Another follow-up will not accomplish anything. If they want to hire you, they know how to get hold of you.

or 3. they found someone else who sounded more likeable over the phone.

Experience is overrated. Never underestimate the power of emotional intelligence.

No harm or foul either way. You've waited a reasonable time so not being high maintenance and over eager. That said, it's likely they won't have an offer coming.
