Hello to all,

Question: Do employers start making interview calls after this week? I know some do, while others, who business tends to operate without holiday breaks, I'm not to sure of?!!

I wonder something like this. Why send out tax papers to somebody next year you only had work less than a month? It seems like a waste.

We have interviews this week for a few positions. With the short 3 day week, they will not be likely to make a decision and notifications until late next week, but with a backlog of openings to fill, work goes on, holidays or not. I have one opening that may not even be announced until February. It's been a week since my request and I can't even get an estimated time frame to decide whether I need to get an interim temp.

I am expecting a call to set up an interview sometime soon but am not holding my breath for this week. Many people take the week (or at least a few days) off.

Hi HfiGa I was wondering the same thing! I think it sometimes depends on the nature of the business and immediate the position needs to be filled.

I doubt much goes on the week of Thanksgiving or the week after Christmas. Things generally slow down during the holidays, but don't totally stop.
