I was interviewed 10 days ago, usually I hear something by that time, and the employer has been very good with the follow-ups and feedback. I haven't heard anything in 10 days, I am wondering if I should just stop worrying until this month is over since it's the holiday season. I've recently lost my job so waiting for a response became more stressful.

People frequently take vacation during the Christmas and New Years time period. I would not expect to hear anything till after the new year. Good luck!

Yes, I have one opening that closed a week ago, and interviews won't be until week after next due to vacations. HR, hiring managers, and other that may be invited to be on an interview panel often take vacations this time of year. There are also some positions that depend on the annual budget to kick in January 1 before they can be filled.

There's really no point in reading anything into this. Stay silent with them. If they want you back, they'll find you. Assume nothing until the world returns to normal post-holidays.

Keep submitting job apps throughout the holidays though, and you'll get interview calls in January.

I'm an executive recruiter; while I do have a few candidates who have interviewed last week and a few who will be interviewing next week-- the vast majority of interviews and decisions have been pushed out until the week of 1/4, if not beyond.

Very little happens this time of year-- it's just the nature of the beast due to vacations, holidays, holiday parties, etc plus, as mentioned above, many organizations are waiting for 2016 budgets to kick in.

Depends on the company, a couple of times I had interviews after mid December and got the offers before YE.

That's what I would think too but in my case the guy told me Monday then I was told by an associate that an HR would be back in on Thursday. The crazy part is that they interviewed just before the holidays. It makes no sense to me.

I am still trying to wait til next week since today's Saturday. If you don't hear anything back next week then I say worry OP but the wait is so difficult I know. I've been unemployed so long it is hard to wait.
