Hello everybody, and thank you for taking the time to look at this, I will be detailed but brief.

About 3 months ago I was contacted by anheuser-busch for an interview. They do multiple steps. First you must pass an online test for personality and Industrial knowledge. Then they call you in for a standard star interview, then they call you back for another technical interview, then they call you back for a telephone assessment.

After the last technical interview, they said I did not pass that, but they were interested in me for another position. So they invited me to come in for the telephone assessment. I feel it went quite well, and they said they will be back to me within a couple days. I have not heard anything, either positive or negative. I look online at their jobs site, and it still says my application status is active. Like I said its been 3 months. I called the HR lady about 3 weeks after the telephone assessment, Again I did not hear anything there either.

The reason I'm asking for opinions on this, is it now that the holidays have passed, we are in hiring season. Other opportunities and potential offers are beginning to surface, but I really want the Anheuser Busch position. It's a few blocks from my house, and I've always worked for large corporations, so I prefer their benefit structures. Anyway, I'm just wondering if it would be okay to call HR again, and ask for one last update, so that I can find out if I'm still in contention or not. Is that reasonable? My luck is that all take another job, and then they will call.

The holidays likely put a wrench in the process. I would call and approach it like this:
''Hi, this is xxxxx. Just wanted to touch base with you after the holidays to find out where you might be in the hiring process for the xxxx job, and to let you know that I am still very interested.''
That's it. Make sure to talk to a person on the phone if at all possible.
