After sending several applications to a big, well-known software company that's on the top of my list, I finally got an email that's like

Quote:
Hello [my name]

After an initial assessment of your resume we would like to schedule a call with one of our recruiters to review your work history via phone for position [position ID].

If you are still interested, please let me know what times next week (1/18-1/22) could potentially work between the hours of 8:30 - 4 PM Mountain Time. The phone review will last approximately 30 minutes.

*If you are no longer interested, please respond to this e-mail with “no interest” in the subject line.*

If you do not have availability in these dates/times, please suggest an alternative and I will try to accommodate.

Thanks!
The email was from resops@[company name].com, no alternative contacts listed anywhere on the email, and I emailed that address with my availability over a day ago and haven't heard back.

I don't want to let this opportunity go to waste. What can I do??

Wait for a response. Amazingly enough at big software companies they value their time, not yours, they will be in touch if they want to be.

Feel free to keep us updated.

I don't know about other people, but I'm actually just as anxious as you are about this.

I empathize. I've been exactly where you are, trying to get into my dream job, or at least a foot in the door.

Over a day ago? Seriously? They might have more than one resume to go through each day. Be patient.

Wait, are you going to start another thread next week asking it is has been more than one day since the phone review and you haven't heard back?
