All of my recent interviews have been three or four person panels. I can determine immediately how it's going to go just by body language and how light the initial conversation is between us. I don't get nervous, but sometimes get ahead of myself when answering a long question.

I've never been in a 'group' interview where they take many applicants and interview at the same time.

I often wonder if they even had a job to begin with, or if it was just a fancy way of promoting their own programs and services.
I think I would have walked out because a group interview to me means a group of people interviewing me about the position. Not being interviewed with a bunch of other candidates at the same time which would have been extra weird for me.

There was an interview I ended up not going to that was similar to this. It was also going to be a group of candidates and will be shown around the company, meet staff and go over job/benefits. I was told to expect 2 hours for it and if I got called back, another half day one! I canceled because how much time it would take up and the job didnt even pay much. Another one I interviewed years ago for had us all in a waiting room (candidates) and was interviewed one at a time by 3 people. I didnt like it, felt very rushed.

Yes, it will most likely be a group interview with additional applicants, but there are some ways that you can prepare.

People are talking about two different things. I think the first poster was talking about a group interview where the other finalists for the job were there with you and you met both the other applicants and the hiring team all in the same day. Other people who responded are talking about panel interviews where you don't meet the other applicants but talk to lots of employees and managers at the organization.
