I put my resume up on Dice and had a recruiter contact me the next week. I didn't think I was qualified for the job they wanted me to interview for, but they reassured me that the hiring manager was ok with my qualifications. Turns out I wasn't qualified for that particular spot, but I did well enough that the team created a position for me and I've been there ever since.

I was at a conference and a guy at a booth said "[organization] is doing pickup interviews in ballroom X." I had hated the job I was at for quite some time so I figured what the heck, why not give it a shot? I went to my room. cleaned up, and had an interview. It took about 3 months to go through the hiring process. I've been there 3 1/2 years now.

Mine was a combination of an ad in the weekly shopper and the organizations website. They had multiple positions in the weekly shopper which got my attention so I then went online to the organizations website and saw what they were looking for. I applied online for three positions within the company, interviewed for one got a conditional offer of employment then was offered another interview which I cancelled(as I knew I'd pass the drug test and physical skills test required). So from the time I saw the 1st ad until I was hired was about 2 1/2 weeks. That was 7 months ago and I'm still there.

Worked as my husbands attorneys office for a while. I was not looking for a job, but the attorney was so impressed with my knowledge in law that he asked me if Id work for him while my husband and I consulted with him. My two current jobs were obtained through my school.
