And, while your last point may be true for the people in an actual finance job, my position will be within the bank's IT department. So, it's my own special version of hell.
I am software engineer (20 years experience greater NYC area), with disorderly persons and misdemeanors your criminal record comes out squeaky clean in their background searches. It stays on your record for 6 or 7 years, but needs to be searched for in that location... It never goes to federal or even state level... Finance tells you these stories to get you nervous so that they can negotiate a lower salary package.

I have good database background, meaning that bank you mentioned, I already told their recruiters not to bother me/annoy me, but they would be lucky if I worked on their DB's.

Rule of thumb for you. A felony is punishable by a prison term of over one year. Unless you have a felony record you are pretty much clear.

Most wall street jobs, you have stock trading restrictions.. In other words to much regulation and bureaucracy for this industry.

This fiance industry likes to fill your head with gibberish.... another reason to avoid them... also if you do not believe me. A lawyer is some-one who can confirm what I am telling you.

Thanks for the information and advice. I'm sure you're right and I was maybe over-stressing, but I'd rather be on the safe side than be called out for not putting a charge on my record and viewed as a liar.

Either way, I haven't quit or put in my two weeks at my current job yet, so I'm alright.

Unless you were physically arrested and fingerprinted, the FBI will not have a record of your arrest. Even then, they will not have a record of the arrest if the card was not forwarded to them.

finance sucks and pays like crap !
Other than #3 (with a "not"), none of that is true where I am at.
