I had a job I was fired from a couple of years ago which only lasted 9 months. I'm closing in on 3 years at my current job and was wondering once I get to the 5 or 6 year mark, can I just removed that job I was fired from? Since it was only 9 months and it will be in between two jobs that was 2 years or more.

So would that 9 month job matter anymore if my current job turns out to be 5 years or more?

I would pay for a background check service or two just to be safe to see if it's listed. I often find inaccuracies with my own report. It appears employment history shows some gap if you have not stayed with an employer for some time so you could scratch off that job if it doesn't show up.

Makes sense because I would think employers would only care about the previous job not the one before that. Especially if the next job after termination was 5 or more years.
