I'm currently doing freelance writing for an online media site, and it's nothing major- just writing a few articles a week.

If you were looking to hire a writer, would you hire one who put on her resume she's currently freelance writing for another site?

sure-- As an employer, I would think it's nice to know you're currently working in your trade. I can't imagine it would work against you unless it was a really trashy magazine and the articles were all crap.

It seems like it relates to the position you're applying for so, yes. I'd put it on the resume.
