I am very poor at writing sometimes, but.

Present job: $10/hour. Solid 40 hours even when slow. Performance keeps me from being replaced. We always need at least two helpers. I am one.

NEW OPPORTUNITY: At least $14 an hour.. more like $14.75 if I get 3rd shift. Should also be full time. Possibility of overtime. Possibility of staying past seasonal. Some kind of "pick" job, with food. Both warehouses.

IF New Opportunity ONLY has 1st and 2nd shift available, as present job is a 9 to 5 .. WHAT TO DO?

That's dangerous, seasonal is usually not going to be more than that. Ore likely they'll run you ragged then boot you. Worth losing the secure job?

Bird in the hand sir...remember that.

I'm assuming the $10 an hour job is the job you love. If that's the case, then stay. You should aim for stability. I know I am in the same boat. I have some potential offers and I have to decide which route I want to take. Unlike you, I don't like my job. But stick with the permanent job and maybe inquire about a promotion soon.

Or.....stick with the current job, and just keep looking for a better full-time job....that's so much better there's no doubt it's the better choice.

Higher paying job. Regardless of what anyone tells you, theres no job security AT ALL in the private sector anymore so the only thing you can do is keeping reaching for a higher paying position

I would stay in the one you have. The seasonal job is likely to be for only 1 month.

The job opportunities are slim in December. You will have more choices to pick in January and February to jump ship for more money.

There is lots of turnover as people change jobs for more pay. The $15/hr guys will leave for $20/hr jobs. Those $15/hr jobs will have spots to fill.

I don't have any offers because I haven't applied but I feel the same way with the idea of it. I don't like my job so I want to leave it as soon as possible for something better but it's a dilemma for me because I often wonder if it's worth it if I might get fired at the new one. I may not like the job but I hated being unemployed more. This job seems pretty stable (not on amount of days working but in general).
If I had a job I liked I think I would be apt to stay with it. It's important to be ambitious but at the same time if you're doing what you love eventually I would think more money would follow.

I wouldn't do seasonal unless I had no other option or it was my dream job.

This is terrible advice. Please don’t let your antipathy towards the business world poison your attitudes so much that you give people destructive advice.

A $10/hour permanent (not temporary) job can last indefinitely. It is better to have a $10/hour job for two months, which is very, very likely, than a $15/hour temp job for only one month, and another month with no job.

Yes, that additional $5/ hour looks nice and is tempting, but if it doesn’t last, the lower rate is the better deal, because you will keep earning that pay check.

Does the $10/Hr job have room for growth? Will the $14/Hr temp job give you new skills that could lead to a better job than your current job?
