I can relate and wish the absolute best of luck for you.
I'm working a job right now that I hate, and only took it for the benefits.
I'm trying to get out. It was the only full time offer I had after after 10 months of looking. I looked for 5 months before I relocated, and another 5 AFTER I relocated.
I knew when I applied, and I knew when I took the job, that I didn't want it. And I hate it now that I have it. No abuse. I just hate doing it.
The benefits are great. The job -- for ME -- sucks. So I keep looking. I'm way over qualified for many jobs. And I don't want to stay in my previous profession.
I've taken my advanced degrees off of some of my resumes. But then the company website asks for highest education level -- and you can't lie on the application, so I have to put them there. I'm still plugging away though.
I keep hearing, "the job market is great. It's a good time to look for a job."
So far....I personally haven't seen it.
That's not far away at all time wise. Save as much as you can, do get some time to R & R before then on your days off. We can get more wound and stressed then we realize. Life can have some real jolts, but those with a solid plan and a view of the direction they want to go usually do well. I hope you move to a real nice place and get a fresh start.

Best of luck. Please keep us posted.
I understand what you mean. Every job has its ups and downs but it just keeps getting worse. I look forward to ending this chapter but I have no idea what is on the horizon. I am hopeful. What else can I be, right? Lol!
