I got a call and was told I have a job interview on Tuesday and was told that he would text me the address and the rest of the information needed for the job interview. It's been 12 hours and I still didn't receive anything. When should I call? Should I call? If I don't I am not sure if I will receive this information... Why was I told I was schedule for a job interview if the information I was told I would receive wasn't sent?

yeah, left a message, what should I do if I don't get a response? should I still go? He told me which plant but not the address, even with the address I don't know the building number, but I know the time I am supposed to be there, does this mean he doesn't want me to go to the interview anymore? I don't get it.

If he wanted you to interview he would follow up with specific details. Move on.

I decided I am going to go because I have enough information to go to the interview. I know where it is located and the time. I can figure out where it will be located by asking when I get there. The status on my application on the website still says I am waiting to be interviewed. It changed to this right after I talked to him and hasn't changed since. If it said Not Selected or No Longer Under Consideration then I wouldn't go to the interview. If I am scheduled for an interview then I will go.

I have not seen HR text the job interview information. Is this a mom and pop shop?

Let people know, where you are going. This sounds dangerous.

Its all too common these days. The ignorance, laziness, runaround these morons give the applicant and its tolerate these days. Have an employee do that to one these useless employers its an unforgivable sin. These employers do it and its "oh well".

if they can even manage the most basic of tasks for setting up an interview, imagine how inept they are at everything else? I wouldn't even waste my time. Sounds like just another trashy employer. They are about as common as STD's now

While your sentiments are a bit harsh, I have to generally agree that there are plenty of "hiring professionals" who leave quite a bit to be desired.

It sounds as if the interview was already scheduled/confirmed and the OP is waiting on additional details from the employer. I've had follow up information emailed to me within minutes after completing the phone interview regarding the next steps. This is basic follow up skills, any decent and organized HR rep should display average competency at this.

Whether they found someone else or not, the employer should have the common courtesy to respond to the OP's call and let them know what is going on. Heck, even a simple email would suffice. I wouldn't appreciate being left hanging like this.

Common courtesy? Professionalism? Good manners? Follow through/up? These are words not found in today's job market from the employer's side of the desk. And it doesn't seem even after all of the "unemployment is at it's lowest levels" propaganda that anything has really changed. But don't worry, at least we have automated video recording tools now so that you can answer ridiculous interview questions w/o a true human asking them. We've come a long way (sarcasm).

I know it sounds tempting but I would not go. These days it's not worth the effort. The chance this is a good legitimate opportunity is <1%. I've been there and done that. You are going to arrive and probably the people who are going to interview you do not even know they are supposed to meet with you tomorrow. Give up and Move on.
