The tech sector has expanded again and there are a lot of startups. Of course you have to have the education and the connections for this.

Go on indeed dot com and look for financial operations jobs. Things like keying in transactions or account maintenance. That will get you in the door .

Employers don't care about gaps in employment. Lots of posters on here try to use that as an excuse when they don't get called for interviews or job offers.

LOL, if they don't care, then why do they grill you about them? You think they just like wasting their time talking about it because they don't care?

If employers didn't care about gaps in employment they wouldn't bring the topic up at all and we wouldn't be having any issues with the long term unemployed getting hired. Asking about gaps is SOP in just about every interview with HR. They absolutely care. They care so much they use to even include it in ads, recent experience only or unemployed need not apply, until there was so much backlash from the public HR stopped including it in ads.

Gaps matter to them, absolutely considered a red flag.

Bullhorn conducted a survey of 1,500 recruiters and hiring managers on the subject of job hoping and gaps in employment.

According to the respondents, the main obstacles for placing unemployed candidates are:

28% said gaps in employment history.
There is so much information out there talking about gaps, and how they reflect on you negatively, how they prevent people from getting hired etc....

Employers care about gaps and not in a good way.

Then why do some applications ask you to account for times that you were not employed?

And that's when you supposed to end the interview since employment gaps have nothing to do with the job. If you are being questioned about employment gaps the person already decided they wasnt giving you the job.
