I found my current position relatively quickly and with it, experienced one of the easiest and low-stress interviews ever. I walked away from that interview feeling like it went terribly because it was short and sweet and easy. I've been in the position for 7 months now and still feel like an impostor, even though I am very successful with what I do and have been involved in countless process-improvement projects, many of which were my idea from the start.

I don't know if imposter syndrome ever goes away from those of us who experience these bizarre feelings. I also have an incredibly large amount of paranoia that I've only gotten the jobs that I have because I'm conventionally attractive. In fact, I was actually told this once by a former (male) boss - that at the end of the deliberation, I was offered the position over another person with similar qualifications (but she had a few more years experience) because he thought I'd look better sitting at the desk. I didn't stay there too long and I don't think I've ever been able to get that out of my head.
