I had an in person interview on Monday with 4 department heads at the company where I work, but a different location. I had a phone interview prior to that. The interview went well. I was given a follow up assignment, which I promptly emailed back, and also sent out 4 thank you emails. All 4 responded very positively, and told me I would hear back shortly.
Today, I received an email from the one of the dept. heads asking me to call them on Monday regarding the status of the position.
So of course, now I have all weekend to wonder what to make of this.
Would they have me call just to tell me I don't have the job? I feel like that wouldn't make sense; they would just email. But then again, who knows?
Don't sweat it. Call them on Monday and find out. Meanwhile, continue with your job search unabated until you have a firm offer. Don't get personally attached with this.
I want to thank you for your wise words. I found your last sentence especially very helpful.
I called today and did get the job. Thank you!
Excellent! Congratulations!
