OP; With a degree in sociology, you might be eligible to get into some type of case worker job, especially at the state you live in. This would be especially good since you have a disability and the state employers need to employ the disabled due to laws. In my state, AZ, the website is AZstatejobs.gov. Would you have something similar in your state?
While working at McDonalds is certainly not entirely wrong for you, it won't get you into some type of career that you want to stay in. I hope this helps.

I really appreciate your help.I am leaning towards working at some type of government job in case my family's oil and gas company does not work out.I Have also thought about the post office.I think Texas would have a resource like that.However, I need to get experience before I apply for those type of jobs.
Keep doing that. If you want to do something else other than Oil you'll need to leave Texas unfortunately.
