I know, I saw it on CNN yesterday morning, it was a Monster.com Job Fair. Those 3700 people need t learn how to think outside the box because I haven't been to any job fairs and have a interview on Wednesday.

The OP has a interview on Wednesday without going to a job fair. Again, it is possible to watch Fox News and Job Hunt at the Same time.

Yes, it is. But one interview scheduled for next week...and what are you doing in the meantime? Out of curiosity, how long have you been unemployed?

I have 2 interviews scheduled for next week, one on monday and the other one is wednesday. That number can grow to 4 interviews by Monday afternoon because in the MEANTIME i'm always finding ways to apply to jobs a lot of people don't know about. Been unemployed since the end of january

CNN had a segment today when they said try to avoid going to job fairs. I guess they saw the amount of people there yesterday and figured you can do other things besides standing in line with thousands of people.

They suggested "PINK SLIP PARTIES"

LOL Where you go to have a drink and meet recruiters from companies.

Fox news??? I wouldn't believe a word they said.
As for why you should go, you could network there - yes I know, it would be mainly job-hunters, but someone might have a tip. You just never know.
I wouldn't depend solely on job fairs, though.

CNN suggested yesterday that job seekers should avoid job fairs.

There's probably a reason for that, don't you think. People who are easily discouraged will stay away, and the people who really want a job, will still go. It'll weed out the less desirable candidates.

Even if you don't score a job right then, you could make contacts.

They said pink slip parties would be better where you can network
