I am curious at your school did you get any professional training advice as to how to handle 1 day, 2 day interviews or did you just learn as go along or buy books.
No, I attended a few seminars that went over the quick and dirty interview, but not the all day or 2 day interview. However, my university offered many more seminars and resources that I didn't take advantage of. I'm willing to bet my University does offer advice on the all day interview. I did browse the internet some.

I didn't buy any books. For me, it was not something to over analyze as I already knew what was coming. For example, they wanted me to give a presentation of my graduate research. No problem, I had already given the presentation many times before in my Defense, Research seminar, and seminars at various national and regional conferences. Also, they provided me with a schedule so I knew what to expect as far as what activities would be done when.

Also, have you participated on the otherside yet?
thnx!
Yes, as a graduate student I was involved in the hiring of new professors who had to go through 2 full days of interviewing. My role was only limited to taking them to lunch and giving them tours of our university and the surrounding area. The hiring committee, however, was interested in my thoughts of the candidates. This was prior to my interview and probably helped some.

1) No need to send thank you letters to all 20 people. Just the hiring manager and maybe someone you consider important for the decision making. If you do, don't CC all on the same e-mail. Compose a massage for each person.
2) All day is very long, but you may find out that some of these guys are absent and others do not have the time, so it may actually be shorter then planned.
3) They may invite you to a "working lunch". I hate those, because I don't know what to order. The last thing you want is getting pasta sauce over your white shirt. It is also very difficult to maintain a conversation with your mouth full, but you cannot avoid answering their questions. Sometimes, the team may engage in conversations that are totally foreign to you, and you have no idea what to do during these long minutes. If you can, order something light, and a soft drink or water.
4) In such a large group, there may be some that are not good at asking questions, especially among engineers or scientists. Do everything you can to avoid long, awkward silent moments. Be prepared with a few questions you may want to ask them, just to keep the conversation going. Sometimes, small talk (keep it minimal) may help to fill in the gaps (sports, cars, weather, collage).
5) As mentioned already, after the first 2 interviewers, you will probably feel better and it won't be so stressful.
Good Luck

Thanks everyone! I'm afraid the interview won't be any shorter than planned, the schedule they sent me is intense!! I probably won't send a thank you email to everyone, plus I won't have much time because I'll have to fly back across the country after the interview.
