All the calls I received for interviews were Monday to Thursday. Even received a call at 5:30pm on a Thursday instead of a Friday Morning-lol Just something I have noticed during my job search that I found interesting. Not to say this is the case for everyone, but it has been for me. Will the Non-friday Calls end during the month of April?? I will see in the next 4 fridays.

I think it's because if they catch your voicemail, then you can't really return their call until Monday. I applied for a couple jobs that required me to take research or writing tests and I would follow up every week for the status (they told me to follow up with them). However, I never did so on a Friday because I didn't want the hiring person to feel pressured to have to respond by the end of the business day (before the weekend started).

I guess that makes sense. The employer that called on Wednesday was saying on the voicemail-"I can get back to her on Thursday or Friday"

LOL Guess you it's better to leave a message when it's a business day or two that drectly follows.

Yes, Friday, bosses leave early and sometimes arrive late.. so it is hard to schedule anything. This is even true for the judges in the Philadelphia court system. People don't want to get stuck in traffic and try to get their work done, so they can get out of the office.

I have also heard that Mondays are a bad day to get things done, because psychologically people are still wanting to be back home.

Even though there is one guy that i work with, who says that he prefers to be at work than at home. I know i felt like that when i lived with my sister, but usually it is neck to neck, until half way through the day and then i am happy to be there. ;-)

You returned the call today? What kind of business is this? Retail or Food Service?

Where I work, most salaried people are out of the office by noon on Friday. Especially on good weather Fridays. You want an interview on Friday? Go to the local gold course and start handing out resumes!

No I don't want a interview on a Monday or Friday, I was just saying I noticed that when I received calls to set up a interview, it was always on a Mon, tue, wed, or Thurs, never on Friday. So it seems like the weekend really starts on Thursday Night instead of Friday Night.

Kind of. Most of them do work Friday morning but by 11:30, the offices are locked and the lights out!
