Tough situation. Just when you think you have no options, then you have more than one & are faced with decisions to make--isn't it funny how sometimes it turns out that way? Good luck this week, TvandSportsGuy--I hope you get the job that works best for you.
If the company he didn't show up for work for wants to get their panties in a wad, they could report him to unemployment.
Well according to gea12345 that's not likely and don't argue. He/she has experience:

No, it is better not to go, then to go and quit! Why? Because when they pay you, they will report you to U.C. and your days of getting U.C. will be serverly numbered, in case you make the wrong decisoin. Even if you work only 30 minutes!
You will be cut off Pronto!! and will have a month of arguing with them appealing their decision!!
Don't debate, with me, I know this from experience...
Sr guy - from the beginning - are you working right now? Do you have a job that you are working at now?
You have 2 interviews with 2 other places in the next week or so, and feel confident you'll be offered jobs with both of them - or at least one.
Is that correct?
Is one in the hand worth 2 in the bush? If so - then go to your job and do it. Continue to do your best, and give your best. Integrity is internal, not externally based.
As to the other 2 jobs - pick the one that you enjoy the most, and then what benefits are given after that. If you totally love one job, but it pays nothing - if you can live on "nothing" then take it. Reality is they're both probably good jobs, so it'll come down to the benefits and the boss and new co-workers. Good luck!

One interview was last wednesday, if the references check went well then I will probably get the job and was told I would hear from her no later this this wednesday. Tomorrow is a 3rd meeting not so sure if it' a interview because it's nothing else for me to sell them on so I think I'm meeting the person who I will report to and will be offered the job. So that's two possibble jo offers before or on wednesday which meant it was no point in going to the job I started today
I've personally never had 3 interviews for one job, so i'm sitting here wondering what in the world is causing them to drag their feet if they are interested? If it's because it's a REALLY close tie between you and another candidate, i'd be prepared for the worst and assume you won't get the job - thus forcing you to consider the other options on your plate.
TV< how did you get the referral for the job you had accepted, and were supposed to start today?
