Mainly I'm going there because its at the HR office and HR is the field I am looking to get a job in. MAYBE they will have something available (HIGHLY UNLIKELY). I'm a gambler and you have to take chances.

Had a group Interview in April and it was basically all the candidates talking to each others while directors and managers sat back and observed.

I think its not a bad idea if you haven't interviewed in a while to go to one where you don't really want the job. Since you don't really want the job you go in with a nothing to lose attitude and you go in very calm and you tend to do well in my opinion, well at least in my experience. It can be a confidence booster and can also serve as some much needed practice. Plus if you make a good impression you gain contacts, and you never know. You might end up changing your mind at some point.

It was mostly a tell me about your background type deal then they all asked us one situational/behavioral question. I was definitely the youngest person there with a lot of people in their 40s and 50s. Everyone seemed to take forever explaining their background and interview answers. You could tell the interviewers were getting impatient.

I could tell I left a good impression but I probably won't take the job if offered. I did get some important contacts within the organization though
