I want to know why I just saw on CNN today they are paying $18 an hour? It seems to be these low ball places are like some sort of staffing company pulling $5 off the top for their pockets! $13 is no where near enough with the people getting sick doing this but $18 is getting a bit closer to what it should be.

I'm just trying to help.

Don't tell people that are not making any money that $13 is not enough. Let them decide. There are people out there that could use the money.

I'm sure people will probably work for that, I'm just pointing out that BP is paying $18 an hour according to CNN. Also people have been getting sick doing this and I figure the higher wage might make it more worth it to these people.

I agree. $13 per hour is really low for dangerous work where your health could be in danger, especially if someone needs to relocate in order to do this.

That is how staffing companies work.

Oh I know that but it should be more like the staffing companies charging $23 an hour and the workers getting the $18 for this type of work. $13 an hour to risk your health I dont see being worth it. I just saw a story on the news the other day that people that cleaned up the exxon Valdez spill still have health issues today. Is that worth $13 an hour?
