Oy vey...so the bigots and trolls who infest the Politics forum (they come in droves to any thread that includes the word "Jewish") can spread more of their hate here? No thanks. Let's leave things just as they are.

I tried starting a thread on Jewish music in the "Music" forum because of my great love and appreciation for all types of Jewish music: Hebrew/Israeli, Yiddish Folk Songs, Klezmer, Sephardi/Mizrahi, Jewish Liturgical Music, Nigguns, etc.
Unfortunately there seemed to be very little interest in it, although it is possible to download hundreds of Jewish musical masterpieces on YouTube. Because of YouTube you can download wonderful recordings of such Jewish greats as Cantor Yossele Rosenblatt, Moishe Oysher, Molly Picon ("Yidl Mitn Fidl!), Chava Alberstein, Mandy Patinkin, Benzion Miller, Leo Fuld ... even Sophie Tucker ("Mein Yiddishe Mamme"!) ...

Hint - since you like youtube, and are interested in different jewish musical things, try searching for Jewish a capella - if you want a starting point, try Pizmon. Some of the groups are musically wonderful, and they all have a ruach (spirit) of energy, vitality, and youth that is inspiring.
