How do some Jewish scholars know that Jews will go to hell (Gehenom/Gehenna) temporarily before being moved to heaven - matter of fact, there is no concept of a heaven in Judaism I think?

As per your previous posts , I'm guessing you're attempting to compare Judaism to Islamic belief. Jahannam in Islam takes on a different meaning even though its the same word. It's basically similar to Christianity. In Judaism when a Jew tells another Jew to go to Hell, he's basically stating that person is not a Jew at all. But as Jews we have no Hell, but we have a Purgatory. Purgatory to Jews is an 11 month cleansing of all sins. Where we are cleansed of all sins and all negativity that occurred in our physical lives. Thus we move on to a higher plane where our souls are happy and content. Someone who is wicked gets an additional month in Purgatory. It's your actions towards others that get you a better/worse place for your time in Purgatory. Daily prayer multiple times a day is not a positive action towards others. If you read the Torah correctly then the 613 commandments are actually 613 opportunities to be a more moral and ethical person during your physical life.

How about us non-Jews or Jews who are really not sincere?

Thank you, that was very informative.
And yes, I was doing a comparison with Islamic concept of Jahannam just for my knowledge. Till a couple of days ago, I didn't know the existence of the word "Gehenom" in Judaism.
