How many days do you take off for Rosh Hashanah? (Israel)

I'm embarrassed to be even asking this question, but how many days are we prohibited from working on Rosh Hashanah? Is it from sundown through the next two days?

It's a 2 day Yom Tov. You need to take both days off. Only the reform have it as a one day holiday because they refuse to admit we Jews are still in exile.

Yes, it's two days. It begins the evening of Wednesday 4 Sept, and ends the evening of Friday 6 Sept.

Which makes it a 3-day Yom Tov this year. Shabbos-like restrictions begin at sunset Wednesday and do not end until nightfall on Saturday, approximately 73 hours later.

I hear lots of folks who like 3 day Yom Tov and others who do not. I LOVE it. Getting to unplug from the grid for 3 consecutive days, spend all that time with my family and my community. Daven in shul with an extra neshama. Great meals. Lechiams. Kedusha surrounding me. It's just sublime.

Outside of Israel its two days. But in my case it'll be two weeks since I go to Israel yearly right before RH and leave after YK.

It is always 2 days starting at sunset on the eve of Rosh Hashana. So really one needs 2 and half days for the holiday (and it is same in Israel as well as outside of Israel).

Two days everywhere, including Israel. How are you an FFB and don't know that, especially since you spend your high holidays there yearly.
