IMO we should discuss the OT as the Tanakh and still keep in line with the OPs query.

I didn't know what to call the Jewish book that corresponds to the Christian Old Testament.

Based on the link you gave me, it is called the Tanakh or the Hebrew Bible.

From what I read on the computer, the first version of the Talmud was written about 100 AD and the Shulchan Aruch was written in 1563.

During the intervening years, was the Talmud constantly being revised and expanded?

When was the Talmud finalized?

So you wish you were thin? If you keep answering my questions, you will probably achieve that goal because you won't have time to eat.

For a historical account:

History Crash Course #39: The Talmud

Once the Talmud was completed, it was done. Yes, Rabbis expounded on the Talmud, but there were and are no revisions to the text.
