The Jewish upbringing wasn't a lot, and he did have a Bar-Mitzvah. He feels war involves faith (where I agree on him there) and people who never believe in anything finally do once they get ill then faith plays a role. I keep saying faith, cause I am referring to all faiths. When he was really ill, I called him (he doesn't live in my state) and I read him quotes from the Jewish Siddur and nothing I said made him feel anyway shape or form that it was going to help him recover. Anyways he agnostic but not atheistic, I believe.
