How do you guys think this the crisis of Haredi men not working and becoming an economic drain for Israel can be solved?
It's already been started in Israel. Many adults are going to educational centers to learn usable skills which are mostly in IT field. Around 45% are now employed.
"In 1953, coalition agreements allocated two separate educational systems for the Haredi
community: “recognized” and unofficial but partially supervised by the State, and “exempt”
education that does not require supervision."
Do you think this will ever be changed? I saw that the 2 separate systems get reduced funding, but clearly that's not stopping the "meteoric growth" of the system or poorly preparing the students for actual jobs.
"According to senior education officials, the Haredi education system is continuing its tradition of isolationism, segregation, and rejection of any contact with the educated, outside world. However, they are happy to see some signs of increasing withdrawal from Haredi schools and enrollment in the state-religious education system.
"And this is not without reason: Only one tenth of 12th graders in Haredi schools are eligible for a high school diploma and only 6 percent meet the requirements for enrollment in university."
So while it does seem that education among Haredi is increasing, they are getting it from outside the Haredi schools. I guess my question is what would be the most effective way to educate more Haredi kids? Would it be through some kind of reform within the Haredi system or to get more Haredi into the regular school system?

Actually there are programs being put into place in Israel, but it may take a little more than a decade to fully implement them in the elementary and secondary levels.
