I was absolutely fascinated by this article. I have entertained both the Jewish and Christian interpretations of the Bible in my life and found both of them to be closed to this idea. But it has always seemed to me that the Bible doesn't really tell us anything about this subject and *obviously* the ways of G-d and the Universe are more complex than we can comprehend. Not saying I believe it, per se, but a little piece of me has always wanted to.

The Jewish texts say plenty about reincarnation. If you're truly interested, you should approach a qualified Torah scholar to enquire further.

There is a veritable cottage industry of Holocaust reincarnation research. See Beyond the Ashes: Cases of Reincarnation from the Holocaust by Yonassan Gershom. I read my first book in this vein at least 20 years ago, and my study of Ian Stevenson's research goes back much farther than this. I'm not dogmatic about it, but there is simply too much evidence to ignore regardless of one's religious orientation (I'm a Christian). It certainly would overcome or at least minimize a lot of the most formidable obstacles to belief, such as the Problem of Evil.
