^The question isn't if Orthodox women are treated as second class citizens by the government, its "are they treated as second class citizens by Orthodox men?"
I was being facetious. What do you think? Was the Chabad rebbetzin you visited treated as a second class citizen by her husband?

IMO, they're treated differently than men but they're not second class citizens. They're definitely the ones that set the table for Shabbos Dinner and do the cooking, but hey....they don't have to go to Shul which I guess could be considered a plus.

I actually met a female Baal Teshuva who is a Radiologist at one of the other Rabbi's house on Friday night. She definitely impressed me that she's able to balance medical science with Torah. Mind you, she was a secular Russian Jew when she decided she wanted to become a doctor.

But are they given the option to? I've been to shuls in the US where either there was no women section or the women section was so narrow that it was nearly impossible for them to get into. Yet when I go to shul on Israel at least a third of the space is allocated to women (including the Kotel). Your query is more dependent on the Orthodox sect rather than simply being Orthodox.

^They don't have to go on Friday nights, but they can if they want to. This Friday, it was just men.

You people can't see the dissonance of labeling Orthodox Jewish women as second class citizens when they don't feel this way? It's clear who is treating them as second class citizens, and it's not the frum men. It's you people who are degrading these women with your disgusting accusations.

I take it you're an orthodox man that doesn't think of orthodox women as 2nd class citizens?
