G-d sent the plague to the Jews because they were acting in sexually immoral ways with the Midianites.

I doubt there's a holy book of any people like the Torah, where we Jews are constantly "calling out" our faults and mistakes. If you read any of that to mean we are blaming others, well you are mistaken.
