Need advice please! I’m a Christian who is attending a Conservative Synagogue Shabbat Service tonight as part of #ShowupforShabbat. Before the service they are having a commemoration for the victims of the shooting in Pittsburgh. I know about the tradition of placing a rock/stone on a Jewish gravesite. What does one bring for a commemoration? Thank you.

Just bring yourself, dressed as you would be for church, and you will be fine.

No need to bring anything.
Don't talk about other religions or other religious figures.
Don't talk about what other holy books say or what other religions do.
Don't talk about your own personal religious beliefs
Talk less, listen more

if you're a man wear a hat or yarmulke that is provided at the door.
If you are a woman wear a dress or skirt below the knees, sleeves at least to the elbow, neckline no lower than collarbone, and a hat or scarf.
These show respect to the community and others who may be attending.

I would assume that the advice would be to wear whatever kippah the synagogue distributes (or doily for women) and not feel the need to come specifically already wearing a hat.

Where are you from? Why do you think a non-Jew needs to wear a head-covering in or out of a synagogue? Did you consult your rav before YOU made a pronouncement on the subject?
