Is there a leader or group of leaders whose every word is considered truth who must be obeyed under all circumstances?

Are members taught that the outside world and non-members are evil and contact with it must be reduced as much as possible?

Are members prohibited from gaining anything more than rudimentary secular education?

Are members who disobey or have an alternative outlook severely punished?

Are members who leave effectively shunned by members still in the religious group?

Do former members feel that they have to completely reinvent and reeducate themselves to integrate into the wider society?

-------

I think we would have to answer "yes" to all questions for Lev Tahor

How do these questions reference or represent other Ultra Orthodox Jewish groups?

I dunno, you probably have a better idea than I do. We could ask TFF and iwishiwerethin about what they think of people who are off the derech or want to be, and how they would treat their kids and friends if they went off the derech.

I once asked them if they would rather have their children go OTD or come out as homosexual. If I recall, tff said that would be the worst choice he could ever imagine and could not even think about it.

Most UO think of family members who go OTD as if they have died.
