Did you go on birthright or just a normal trip? I just came back from birthright a few weeks ago. Amazing and life changing trip! I wish I was still there!
Hyperion, one of my close friends just got back from a 5 week trip to Israel. He considers himself a "HinJew," as he's a born Jew who is mostly interested in Eastern philosophy. His first week was spent in Tel Aviv, where he partied at the night clubs, chased loose women on the beaches, drank and partook in all the debauchery Tel Aviv has to offer. Then he went to Jerusalem. After visiting the Kosel, something clicked in him, and he was overwhelmed by a feeling that there was more to Judaism than he'd ever been taught. By the time he left a month later, he was laying tefillin daily, davening at the Kosel and firmly set on a path to connection to Hashem thru Torah and mitzvos. He just spent a Shabbos at my house, and his excitement is palpable. And contagious.
Did you find yourself any more interested in Torah and mitzvos from your trip? Or was it just a cool place to visit with neat sites?
No, I did not become more interested in Torah and mitzvot. I had several interesting conversations with people regarding religion, but thats about as far as it went.

Do you find that you're generally content in life, or maybe not so much? Does life feel a bit random and unordered at times? Would you say you are perfectly happy, or just somewhere on the spectrum of happiness?
