As Rosh Hashanah is quickly approaching we look forward towards Hashem granting us a year of peace, prosperity and blessing. Before we get to Rosh Hashanah we have Selichot in which we ask Hashem to forgive us on a personal and communal level.

What Is Rosh Hashanah? - The Jewish New Years, anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, a day of judgment and coronation, and sounding of the shofar*.*.*. - High Holidays

What Are Selichot? - High Holidays

As one year ends and a new years begins, keep in mind that as the old year comes to an end it does not open the door to get in one last yetzer hara.

The Positive Power of Negative Thoughts - Living through the Parshah - Parshah

Leshana tovah tikatev v’tichatem (לשנה טובה תכתב ותחתם)

Selichos tonight at 1:24am, then shacharis at 8am. Always tough, but the best way to prepare for Rosh Hashana.

If you think that was long, just wait until Yom Kippur.
