As I prepare for my flight to Israel in a few days, I wish for everyone to have a chag kasher v'same'ach.

Wonder what the cheapest flying cost is to Israel? What is it like 2000 bucks each way? Man I would love to go.

depends on the season, whether you are willing to make stop overs and what airline you prefer. You can find flights for under a thousand round trip.

May you be active in Torah to 120, Richard. When is your Jewish birthday? there is an online calculator to find out, and you can also find out the parsha portion for when you were born. and important dates and events in Jewish history related to your birthday.

https://www.chabad.org/calendar/birt...Calculator.htm

One of the central messages of the Baal Shem Tov and his disciples is the very message of the birthday: "You, as an individual," said the Chassidic masters, "are special, unique, and utterly indispensable. No person alive, no person who has ever lived, and no person who shall ever live, can fulfill the specific role in G‑d's creation entrusted to you."

"Far from considering it incidental, Jewish tradition regards one's Jewish birthday to be brimming with meaning and relevance and, in some ways, even a mini-Rosh Hashanah. The Talmud informs us that on our Jewish birthdays our mazel (good fortune) is dominant. The Jewish birthday is the perfect day for reflection about our lives as Jews and is an auspicious time to make new resolutions to perform good deeds and to deepen our commitment to Torah and the role it plays in our lives."
