I'm trying to find a table on-line that gives the approximate number of Jews living on earth and how many in each country.

If anyone has any links with that kind of information, I would appreciate all responses.

Whatever the number is, I'm certain it isn't "as numerous as the stars in the sky". Genesis 26:4

It is 15:5 that says:
"And He took him outside, and He said, 'Please look heavenward and count the stars, if you are able to count them.' And He said to him, 'So will be your seed.' "

26:4 says "And I will multiply your seed like the stars of the heavens"

the number of stars that humans can see and count in the night sky is estimated at 9,100 in this 2014 astronomy article

Interesting. Not "like the visible stars of the heavens," but "like the stars of the heavens." Think He knew a thing or two that we didn't?

"Rabbi Avigdor Miller (1908-2001) explains the metaphor of the stars symbolizes that just as the stars are inaccessible to man, so too the Jews will be indestructible. No nation in the world will be able to “access” the Jews fully and to destroy them. Try as the nations might, the Jews will live on forever.

"In this same vein, Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch (1808-1888) stated that the impossibility of counting the stars is not meant to be understood as referring to the future of the Jews due to their numerosity. Rather, the reason why it is impossible to count the Jews is because of their eternal generations. There will be countless Jews due to the generations upon generations who will exist throughout all of time. The eternity of the Jews was the promise of G-d to Abraham."
