It happens to me all the time. I want (crave, desire) more halacha in my life. I love eating kosher, dressing more subdued, saying the prayers, resting on Shabbat. I don't do it all right, but I find the more I do, the more I want. Maybe it's because I live is such a Jewish wasteland right now, I crave the things that I consider as identifiers to Judaism. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, especially with the High Holy Days approaching. But more than anything, I crave being with other Jews -- no matter what their level of observance happens to be. That's probably why I love this forum and its members so much (even the members that I don't quite always see eye-to-eye with -- but that's the way it is in families).
I was going to say "yes, and also the companionship of our people" and then saw that I'm not alone in those sentiments.
