Forgot to say , Rachel, love the blue honey jar set. I love that colour blue and the opal jewelry from that web site. I love opal, the white with all the specks of different colours and the blue opal.
It’s my birthstone too, so I double love it

What about the terminal stores in the airport? They might have something you could get as a gift.
You can see if they’ll send it to someone for a little extra money.
You can also google and look on line for a honey and apple scented candle.
There’s one honey brand, “ Shana Tova “ that seems to be on a lot of Synagogue web sites and synagogue stores. Most people probably think of honey also, so they’ll probably have a lot of people giving that.
Maybe, a Havdalah set, or a Seder plate for later, unless you want the gift to be for the High holidays itself. There might be honey jars that can double as a kiddish cup , when empty.
There’s some pretty , white challah covers too, or white Mazchor for women, that are beautiful.
You can never have too many honey jar sets with dipper and all.
It’ll be new , for a New Year also.
What about a Israeli perfume? My husband got me a lovely scented Etrog perfume, last year.
It was a lemony, spicy/ peppery scent.
Of course, you don’t wear it on Yom Kippur though.

Liquids (except under 3 oz.) can't be taken in carry on luggage and that is all I am planning on taking. I will be looking into the other suggestions within my budgetary restrictions.

Chava, do you use packing cubes in your carry-on luggage? I like to travel with carry-on only, as well, and I've discovered that you can pack a lot more clothes (as well as better organize them) if you use packing cubes. Also, you can pack anything that's breakable in with your clothes in the packing cube, and it protects the breakables very nicely!

I don't use packing cubes. (Some of the clothing I roll up and some not.) But if I have something breakable I will pack it in between clothing to give it cushioning against breakage.

I do appreciate all the suggestions for gifts. Perhaps the original OP who was asking for Rosh Hashana gifts (exchange) can use some of these ideas.
