Sure but anyone can come up with a religious text stating they own land. The bible states very clearly: thou shalt not steal: this hasn't stopped the Israelis stealing land. Thou shalt not kill hasn't stopped them murdering 300 children in this current wave of genocide.
Its no good choosing to observe some scripture and ignore others: if someone knocked on your door and said your house had been given to them by god: would you agree?

Well I don't think we could ever equate lad from Barrio Logan as anywhere close to a rocket scientist.
However, if there is no god of any kind and if the process of survival of the fittest and natural selection is the only true explanation of world events, then should'nt the Israelite victory over the Cananite nations be celebrated as such a proof of these evolutionary concepts ???
