We are considering creating a sub-forum for Judaism. We had the same poll last year but there wasn't enough interest at that time. We do not want this proposed sub-forum to become just a debate forum. Therefore, if you fit either definition and you want this sub-forum to be added, please vote. This poll will be open for three days.

I'm Jewish, and I have to say, my main concern is how many of the threads would be hijacked by the kinds of people who infest any thread in the Politics forum that contains the word "Jew" in the title. You probably know who I mean and the kinds of things they have to say. If you can keep them out of a Jewish subforum here, I think it would be a good idea.

Fred, the Religion Forum is is NOT politics and other controversies. I am not a Jew, but I am intersted in learning. Knowledge is power. If you get you Jewish Thread, I will moderate it providing the other regular moderators [1] do not object, and [2] if they want extra help.

There was a Rabbi novel series a few years back that was just a lot of fun. It was light reading - kind of a whodunit -and always had a good ending. I hope you are successful with getting a forum.

What, we can't select both items to vote for? I want both items listed!

I agree, it should be a positive place to learn and talk!

Default yes!!!!

I would love a forum but a moderator would be needed. I'd hate it to turn into a "a bunch of fights" over theology.

I'm always interested in learning something new about different religions, I don't subscribe to any particular organized religion or faith however like I said, always willing to learn.

Personally, I think that if we have a Judaism forum, I think we should also have a "other religions" forum. I mean, if you add up all the Spiritual but not religion peoples, the neo-religious (Wicca, Gnosticism, Asatru, Scientology) the Muslims, the Buddhists, the Deists, the Hindues, and the Taoists, we would end up with a number that would probably be greater then the amount of Jews in the USA and Canada.
Not to mention that it would end the problem of every thread about Hinduism or Buddhism being high-jacked by people who are just against every religion period.
