Local Emergency Responders Looking For Training Victims - KMBZ

Local emergency responders looking for training victims

Local emergency responders will soon be training on how to handle major disasters, and they need your help. The Mid-America Regional Council needs volunteers to be "victims" during the training exercise on October 30th. Volunteers will play the part of victims injured in a fictitious event involving a shooting and explosion. Donna Martin of MARC says you don't need any experience, just be willing to get your clothes messy. "Dress in old clothing so that you can get made up to be a victim. You might have fake blood or bandages put on," Martin said. MARC needs 50 to 60 volunteers. If you want to participate, sign-up ahead of time by going to the medical reserve corps website at www.mrckc.org .
