Yea, white castle fan here. But it's interesting that Jack in the Box is returning with initial locations in KCK, Overland Park and Blue Springs.

I don't see White Castle making a comeback, but stranger things have happened I guess. I'm a White Castle fan like you, but it didn't seem to click in KC.

I'm surprised Jack in the Box has prevailed in St. Louis. It's commonly referred to as "Jack in the Crack".

God I love a good JintheB deep fried taco! Got to head to KCK ASAP. We'll assume it'll be late on Friday/Saturday!

White Castle just opened a new location in CoMo, so they're only 2 short hours away!

We used to haul White Castle sliders by the sackload out of Chicago to the air traffic control guys & girls at outstations like Quad Cities. They loved 'em.

I never understood it. Give me a Culver's double any day. Or a Town Topic burger, for that matter.

Is it just me or is Blue Springs the fast food capital of the world? They have 1-2 locations of everything and in some cases 4-5 locations (McD, Sonic). For such a small area to have that much fast food. It also may have to do with it being a major eating place for I-70 traffic I guess.

Blue Springs is also the home to probably the most Asian Buffets/Restaurants per capita. In about a 2 sq mile radius are 6 or 7 places. One just opened called Legends of Asia that is pretty much the walmart of Asian Buffets, it has a full sushi bar, Mongolian Grill, tons of chinese choices and even american food

If you drive down Highway 7 in Blue Springs, I swear every single intersection either has a CVS, a Sonic, a Walgreens, a Chinese or otherwise pan-Asian restaurant, a nail salon, or some combination of all or most of the above. It always strikes, me...I'm like, "Didn't I just go through this intersection? A couple of times?"

On White Castle...I dig it, but it gives me heartburn like no other burger joint. It's the onions, I think.

I think it doubles as the background scenery on The Simpsons.

I used to live in the Dallas/Fort Worth "Metroplex" and it was a hundred square miles like this. It has colored my whole view of the world. When I hear "suburb" this is what I am afraid of. There were wonderful things about that area of the country...we lived in a nice little corner of it and we had a great little community, wonderful friends, lovely church etc. But that aspect of it was just "soul-sucking" as my husband and I liked to say. I used to say that I would never run out of hand towels...there seemed to be a Linens and Things every mile and half.

I am really glad to hear that this seems remarkable to you, coming from the KC metro area. I do not want to end up in another place with a landscape like that. I think this is the kind of thing people really fear when they think of "sprawl." At least that is how it is for me.
