Crown Center is surely becoming the premium kids destination for the KC area for tourists and locals.

Wonder if Crown Center plans to upgrade parking or utilize some of Hallmarks empty surface lots around 27th and Grand. Parking could become a nightmare if people want to exit the garages.

With Legoland, aquarium, Crayola theme, highly rated kids theatre, etc., Crown Center could likely maintain a momentum and attract other kid-oriented concepts out there. I like the approach they take with many small attractions rather than take the risk of very large attractions that are expensive to maintain and could go under.

They need to hookup with Disney (he started in KC) and get some kind of mini-Disney destination into CC.

Even though those theme restaurants like Rainforest Cafe are purely garbage and awful food, wouldn't you think one of those theme type places would want to go in?

Didnt Rainforest Cafe at OP Mall close? Those places are cool to visit once but they are too damn expensive to go all the time.

I am looking forward to taking my kids to both the new attractions. Is there an ETA of when they will be done?

Careful what you wish for. Disney is very controlling, and they will be very sure to get all they can from any municipality. I think the entities that are in the Crown center now are better in a way. There is nothing too overwhelming, but enough to keep a family entertained in a low key sort of way.
Lego and aquarium seem like terrific additions!

Yeah good point about Disney control. It's just a shame that Mickey Mouse was invented in KC yet there is no Disney connection to KC anymore.

Since hallmark owns crayola, what about some kind of cool interactive crayola attraction?

Legoland isn't just for kids! Adults, or just me, love it!

This is all good news for KC. I think it helps kids get acclimated to going to the city to do things. When they grow up, even if they live outside of the city, they might be more inclined to return for grown up entertainment out of familiarity. Or just go back to legoland
