Wow! My Beloved saw the button you posted, and went immediately to the hiding place and pulled one out. I didn't know we had it. We also have 2 of the 8 cent Truman postage stamps.

The 200th birthday of the founding of Independence will occur in fourteen years and two months.

I wonder if anyone in the city has given any early thought to what kind of Bicentennial celebration the city will put on.

Yes. I didn't want to give it away and let you have an easy out, Doc

It's all good! Besides, it's best for me to sit back and let someone else have a chance to "grab the brass ring" every once in a while. I get greedy!

Well, I can keep throwing out guesses (besides Lee's Summit Rd.) left and right and either I get it or I don't, but it seems like WCHS and Mad are pretty sharp. Of course, it seems Mad may have a bit of advantage, over me at least, by having a wife to join forces with, whereas I have one feeble brain to rely on. One thing about my studying the submitted photos is, I keep trying to zoom in, pan, rotate and so on, like I was in Google Maps! Duh!

Did someone ask for a "name that road" photo mystery? Here it is, from 1988.

Same here. I've lived here since late '54. (No, not 1854!)
