Here are some pictures from the storm we recently had in Independence (and the surrounding areas). These aren't that great. I was unprepared... We are supposed to get another big snow storm on Monday afternoon!!

Looks like you will be bracing for the storm we are getting here (Centennial, CO) right now. I have been out three times this morning and it is getting worse. Started about 0300 and is supposed to end at 2300.

I got caught in Wichita on Wednesday evening and did not get home until Friday evening--and am now enduring this, although home is the best place to endure.

Thanks for the pix Pearjas. Looks a lot like my neighborhood.

One of the three guesses was geographically close. One guess was very close in a "make believe" sense.
Your next clues are:

-Pearjas could easily walk to this house. (Assuming the sidewalks have been shoveled!)

-Starred in a major motion picture, although under an alias.

Just now reading about it. Probably walked past it dozens of times yet this is the first I've heard of it. Just saw some great photos of Old Independence houses. Shame more weren't preserved or escaped fire/casualties.

Seeing a webpage on the "Walking Tour" along with the HST caricature logo made me wonder how many other "classic" and/or historic houses coulda/shoulda been preserved. Since it's a slow time here and y'all are buried with snow (notice I've said nothing about Florida!), maybe we could put together a list of houses that would have otherwise qualified in a perfect world:

The aforementioned Swope house on Pleasant (my info tells me it was very near RLDS The Campus)
