Not at all. I would argue that the vast majority of people under the the age of 35-40 would agree that local media sucks and tend to avoid it.

KC's media is more drama based than normal. The media out here sucks too, but it's not quite a dramatized as KC's news (although it still is) and the Washington Post is much better than the Star (which is basically a sports page). I can actually watch the weather reports out here, even during bad weather (although they are just as bad with that first snow of the season).

The only news media in KC worth reading or following is the KC Business Journal.
