I am 25 and will be interviewing soon for a great position in Kansas City that I am excited about, I'm single, so I don't want to be too far away from events, but don't want an awful commute every day to work. Any suggestions? thanks

You will be working up by the airport, there isn't a whole lot up that way. The River Market is a good option with many young professional transplants (Seems to be a lot of Chicago Transplants moving to the River Market). The commute will only be about 20-25 minutes and you won't run into much traffic at all since it's a reverse commute.

Congress Ave as in up north by the airport?

If so, I would look into the River Market area.

I meant to ask if it was going to be a reverse commute, so I wouldn't mind living in the city since I'd have a smooth commute, I looked into river market and it sounds like where I need/want to be, thanks for your replies!

Definitely agree with the others that the Rivermarket is likely your best bet! Feel free to come back with any specific questions as you have them, and good luck with your upcoming interview!

Congress runs along the western border of the Zona Rosa development. Is that where your job will be?

If so, there are choices nearby that would allow you to walk or bike to work. Ask one of your future co-workers for a recommendation. It's an easy trip from there to downtown when you want to go.
