The Johnson County Ks Sheriff Department has started a email program to stop theft. This program reaches out all over and not just for eastern Ks. Works very good in Mo. as well. Free to sign up for. Get descriptions of what that thief is driving and what they stole. You will be shocked at how much is being stolen.

T.R.A.C.E. (http://www.jocosheriff.org/Index.asp?incl=trac - broken link)

If you are an agriculture producer, livestock owner, farmers cooperative, implement dealer, construction business or insurance company and would like to register for the program, you can register here online. If you have questions contact the Johnson County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division at (913) 715-5561 or email trace@jocogov.org.

There is another program of this type out there as well and i think they link together.
Anyone can register

This program covers all of Mo and reach as far south as Texas. Rural Missourians can benefit from this as well. I have read of cattle thefts in southern Mo as well as equipment stolen in Concordia as well as a major ranch theft on the Ok/Tx border.
